INTRODUCING OUR CANOESLETTER
The Canoe '22 Society is thrilled to invite the world to Lake Banook for the 2022 ICF Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe World Championships, taking place from August 3 - 7, 2022, and what better way to keep you informed, then a canoesletter! Every month, we will provide an update on all things canoe, athlete, partner, and community.
CALIFORNIA HERE WE COME
Our athletes are packing up and leaving the cold (can you say FOMO?). Canadian national team athletes are headed to California for their winter training camp, and we cannot get enough of the beautiful training centre they’ll be calling home.
The Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center is home to U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes and in February, Canadian canoe kayak athletes will call it their home-away-from-home for several weeks.
An on-site resident village, 7000 square feet of weight room, and 3000 meters of kayak course… not to mention that picturesque California mountain range, will make for a great winter escape in Chula Vista.
Athletes will remain abroad until national team trials, which are planned for early May on Lake Banook.
