Support4Sport and East Coast Credit Union Demonstrate Their Commitment to Sport in Nova Scotia Through Canoe ’22 Sponsorship

CANADA: Canoe ’22 Society is thrilled to announce Support4Sport and East Coast Credit Union as partners for the upcoming International Canoe Federation Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe World Championships (Canoe ’22) taking place August 3-7, 2022 on Lake Banook.

Support4Sport is a program of Nova Scotia Gaming, a long-time supporter of sport and culture in the province, making significant contributions to sport organizations and raising funds to support the arts, culture, and heritage in Nova Scotia communities through Support4Culture.

“We recognize the important role that sport plays in our province. We are looking forward to welcoming some of the best athletes in the world to Lake Banook this summer,” said Bob MacKinnon, President and CEO of Nova Scotia Gaming.

East Coast Credit Union has also committed to a partnership with Canoe ’22 that will see them championing the fireworks show as part of the opening ceremonies.

“At East Coast Credit Union one of our top priorities is our commitment to our communities. We are excited to be supporting both local and international athletes through the Canoe ’22 event,” said Ken Shea, President and CEO of East Coast Credit Union.

- Since 2006, Nova Scotians have raised over $51 million through Support4Sport designated lottery products, to foster sport in the province. From assisting amateur athletes, coaches and community sport organizations, Support4Sport is making a significant contribution back to Nova Scotia’s communities. The allocation of funding is managed by our program partner, Sport Nova Scotia.

- In 2021, East Coast Credit Union contributed $851,984 to our local communities and organizations.
