Day 3: 5 Finals & 36 Semi-Finals on the Draw.

The excitement and momentum continue to build as we enter Day 3 of the competition at Canoe ’22. Affectionately known as “Semi-Final Friday,” these elite paddlers will put it all on the line in 36 semi-final races.  In addition, Day 3 will see medals awarded in 5 Paracanoe races. Once again, Team Canada will look to make its mark in front of the hometown crowd at Panuk / Lake Banook:

  • 11:28 am. Ottawa-based Olympian, Brianna Hennessy will proudly wear the Team Canada maple leaf as she races for a medal in the VL2 Women 200m Final
  • 12:21 pm & 2:35 pm.  Hailing from Dartmouth’s Cheema Aquatic Club, Michelle Russell will seek to advance from two semi-final races: K1 Women 500 and K1 Women 200 m.
  • 3:24 pm. The powerful team of Cameron Low and Brian Maltesi will put their strength and pace to the test in the K2 Men 1000 m semi-final

Friday’s weather forecast is calling for another hot day, with a chance of late afternoon showers. We remind all spectators and festival goers to bring their own water bottles. There are numerous Halifax Water stations located around the venue.
