With Day 1 officially in the books, Canoe ’22 races will heat up as we enter Day 2 of The Competition. Another hot day is in the weather forecast, and there is no better place to be than at Panuk / Lake Banook. Thursday’s schedule features a total of 106 races with several intriguing Team Canada storylines to follow:
Starting at 12:20 am. For the first time, athletes from Canoe Kayak Canada’s PaddleAll Program will race at the ICF World Championships. The Program encourages athletes with intellectual disabilities to train and race to be their best in sport. One of Canoe Kayak Canada’s goals as it builds the PaddleAll program is increasing participation through all Provinces and territories as it looks to become a recognized sport with Special Olympics Canada. What a thrill it will be for these athletes, so come on out and cheer them on!!
As Canoe ’22 seeks to achieve a sustainable impact on our environment, we encourage all spectators to bring their own water bottles. There are numerous Halifax Water stations located around the venue.
